My "Baby" Boy...

Well, here he is, my "baby" boy all grown up! He turned 18 years old yesterday and it seems pretty much impossible that this could be so. I am so proud of the person he is becoming! Love this boy!!! He will always be my baby.

I woke up happy today. I felt so thankful for all I have been blessed with and all the days to come had in store for me. Every so often, I am overcome with peace. This is a good thing!

Natural beauty...

I took this picture a while ago...as you can see from the date stamp it was right before Independence Day! My family and I spent the day fishing and I noticed these pretty pink flowers growing along the bank of the reservoir. So pretty - a happy memory on a snowy day like today!

In the beginning...

I've been wanting to start a blog for ever-so-long. Sometimes I will enter a bloggy giveaway or comment on a favorite blog and the comment section will ask for my blog address. Sad face. But now....sad face no more! I decided life is too short to wait for the perfect harmonic convergence of circumstances to start a blog (when I get a new computer, when I have more time, when my kids are grown, blah, blah, blah). So here I am! Ta Da! My purpose here is to reflect gratefulness every day. I know it is slightly unrealistic to think I will post every day, but as often as I do, I want this place to be a place of beauty and thankfulness and peace.
